2023 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Communities of Abilene Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce its Annual Scholarship Program for graduating high school seniors from the Class of 2023. The deserving scholarship recipients will be an incoming University, Community College, or Trade School student for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Two Scholarships for $500 will be awarded.

Communities of Abilene Federal Credit Union strives to be a leader in the community and believes we have a great opportunity to help our youth in their pursuit of higher education. Beyond an opportunity, we view it as a social responsibility to reach out to the communities that we serve.

To be considered, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria below:
❏ Be a member of the credit union in good standing for 1 year
❏ COAFCU staff, officials, or family members are not eligible
❏ Graduate of the Class of 2023 residing in Taylor, Runnels, Coke, Coleman, Eastland, Callahan, Shackelford, Jones, Fisher or Nolan Counties
❏ Incoming college freshman at a two or four‐year institution of higher learning, or certified trade school
❏ To receive the full $500 Scholarship, student must be enrolled full time/minimum
of 12 credit hours.
❏ Selection Committee reserves the right to provide partial scholarships of $250 to
deserving applicants attending part time, at least 6 but less than 12 credit hours.

Requirements
Scholarships will be awarded to the highest scoring applicants based on the following:
• 25% ‐ Academic Performance
• 25% ‐ Essay
• 25% ‐ Extracurricular Activities
• 25% ‐ Community Involvement
Applications must be received in person or postmarked no later than Monday, May 1, 2023,
